Gastronomy

In Kea you can try the so-called ‘paspala’ (pieces of pork cooked with tomatoes and eggs), ‘tsigara’ (pieces of pork with fat), ‘loza’ (smoked pork), smoked sausages with herbs and local cheeses such as ‘xyrotyri’, ‘myzithra’, ‘xino’ (sour cheese) and ‘kopanisti’.

The wine produced by the locals is called ‘mavroudi’.

You can buy thyme honey, ‘pasteli’ (sesame seed candy), handmade spoon sweets, ‘amygdalota’ (almond sweets).
