GASTRONOMY

It is worth tasting “pitarakia” (small pies) of Milos, filled with dry cheese or myzithra cheese with spearmint, “karpouzopita” (watermelon pie) and “glyko koufeto” made of a sweet pumpkin’s kernel with honey and almonds. It is traditionally served in weddings and engagement ceremonies.

Apart from these delicious sweet and savory products, on the island you can buy local honey, tomato puree from local tomatoes, caper, barley and wheat rolls.
