GASTRONOMY

From the traditional cuisine of Donoussa it is worth tasting braised meat “patatato” (with potatoes), “kavourmas” (cooked pieces of meat mixed with their broth), “giaprakia” or else “lachanontolmades” (cabbage leaves stuffed with rice and minced meat), stuffed kid in the oven and “axialomyzithra” (cheese from curdled yogurt). You can also try “pasteli” (sesame seed candy) and “xerotigana” (fried dough with raki and orange, dipped in thyme flavored honey).
