AEGEAN ISLANDS

The valley of Dipotamata.

The deep gorge of Dipotamata contains layers of metamorphic rocks consisting of amphibolites and mica schist. It is a particular geological monument that shows how the successive watermills made the most of the force of the water flowing through the gorge.
